This Privacy Policy explains how Metabolism Explained handles information collected through its current email-signup form and published contact route. The signup form is collecting interest for future site updates. Newsletter delivery has not yet been configured.
Email signup information
The signup invitation reads: “Join the Metabolism Explained list for useful guides and future site updates.” The form asks for an email address and requires an explicit checkbox stating: “I agree to receive email updates from Metabolism Explained.”
When you sign up, the module stores your email address, a hash used to check for duplicate signups, the signup time, the source page path, the consent wording you accepted, and the collection status in the site’s WordPress database. The saved source path does not include query strings or page fragments.
These records are collected to prepare for useful guides and future site updates. At present, newsletter delivery, confirmation messages, and unsubscribe features are not part of the configured signup setup. They would require separate future configuration.
Contact messages
You can contact Metabolism Explained at contact@metabolismexplained.com. Messages sent to this address include your email address, the content of your message, and any attachments you choose to provide. This information is used to review and handle your request.
Access to signup records
Authorized WordPress administrators can view, export, and remove signup records. WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools also include newsletter records.
Signup records remain in the WordPress database until an administrator removes them or an erasure request is processed. The signup module also uses temporary anti-spam rate records based on hashed network identifiers, which are periodically cleaned up. This does not mean that the site’s hosting or network infrastructure never logs addresses or other technical information.
Your choices
To ask whether a signup record is held, request a copy, or request removal, email contact@metabolismexplained.com and identify the email address used to sign up. Additional information may be needed to verify and process a request safely.
