Metabolism Explained is an educational publication for non-specialists who want scientifically serious explanations of metabolism without needing specialist training. We explore physiology, appetite, insulin, peptide hormones and clinical research, making clear distinctions between biological mechanisms, study findings and questions that remain unresolved.
What we cover
Our editorial scope includes Metabolism Fundamentals; GLP-1 & Incretin Science; Peptide Hormones & Signaling; Weight Regulation & Appetite; Insulin, Glucose & Energy Balance; Body Composition & Adaptation; and Clinical Research & Evidence.
Available articles examine how ghrelin and GLP-1 influence hunger and satiety, why semaglutide is classified as a peptide, and why DXA and scale weight can show different body-composition outcomes. We also help readers interpret weight-loss trial results beyond the headline. Future coverage will continue to explore metabolic pathways, approved medicines, investigational compounds, and the strengths and limits of emerging evidence.
Our editorial approach
We ask three basic questions: What biological process is being discussed? What evidence supports the claim? What does that evidence not prove? When it matters, we distinguish laboratory research, animal studies, observational data, clinical-trial phases and approved-use evidence. We also keep endogenous hormones, prescription medicines, investigational candidates and research-use-only materials clearly separate.
Metabolism Explained is not a treatment service and does not provide individualized diagnosis, dosing or self-administration guidance. Browse the latest work on our Blog. For questions about the publication, email contact@metabolismexplained.com.
